Welcome
We are a small cooperative of farmers, educators, social workers and therapists, who together run a farm in County Kilkenny, Ireland.
We adhere to biodynamic principles, working closely with nature to produce nutrient-dense food to feed ourselves and our local community. Our dairy farm is fully certified organic.
We are currently in the process of moving from leased land at Jerpoint to our newly-purchased 47-acre farm at Ballyhick, located along the banks of the River Nore in Thomastown. Our new Ériu Farm is in conversion and will be fully organic and Demeter certified in early 2026.This is a dream come true!

What we do
Current Activities include:
• Producing good food (milk, herbal products, vegetables)
• Social farming
• Hosting community events
• Hosting camps and other immersive educational experiences for children and adults
We dare to dream big! In the future, our range of activities will expand to include:
• Direct sales of our products
• Diversifying the range of our products (raw milk, yoghurt, medicinal herbs, eggs, asparagus and more!)
• Making and storing biodynamic preparations
• Workshops and trainings on biodynamic practices and preparations
• Nature connection workshops
Our name
Ériu (pronounced: Air-roo) is the name of an ancient Irish goddess, a member of the Tuatha Dé Danann, the supernatural race that inhabited Ireland before the first humans. Eire (Ireland) was named after her. Ériu is seen as the goddess of abundance of the land, the fertile soil and the earth. She is associated with the river Nore (her two sisters Banda and Fódla, with the rivers Suir and Barrow).
In some places, you may still see the name Jerpoint Farm. This is the name of the farm where we have been working so far, on leased land. With the move to our own land, we are excited to name it Ériu Farm.
